MR AND MISSES
Millions of men are clueless what size clothes their partner wears – or even what her natural hair colour is, it emerged yesterday (Mon).
Researchers revealed while six out of ten guys reckon they know their partner inside out,
the truth is they are in the dark about almost everything.
One in ten have no idea what their wife or girlfriend’s date of birth is, eight per cent don’t know their natural hair colour and 12 per cent don’t know their eye colour.
One in three have absolutely no idea what her favourite perfume is. The stats emerged in a study of 2,000 men for The Perfume Shop.
Yesterday spokeswoman Michelle D’vaz said: ”The results of this survey are actually quite shocking.
”The basic details like date of birth and hair colour are what you expect your partner to know about you, but it seems many men don’t.
”This is especially the case with everyday things like eye colour, or the perfume they spray on each morning.”
”Noticing these little details can win men some major brownie points with their other half as it shows they pay attention, so it’s worth putting in the extra effort to make sure you know everything.
The study also found 27 per cent have bought their girlfriend or wife clothes or underwear in the wrong size, with more than a third of those having an argument about it.
But for some unlucky men, not knowing these everyday details about their girlfriend has caused major problems with almost one in ten being dumped, or coming very close to getting the chop.
And eight per cent have had serious rows about it.
Sixty-one per cent of guys admitted that the majority of blokes are useless when it comes to remembering the little things about their other half.
More than half even think guys should make more effort to get to know everything about their partner.
And 80 per cent reckon if the tables were turned, women would know everything from eye colour to the name of the aftershave their man wears.
The study also revealed that even though, the majority of guys know what perfume their wife or girlfriend wears, 22 per cent have bought them the wrong scent as a gift.
But secretly, more than a quarter said they don’t like the smell of their partner’s best fragrance.
Top five things men don’t know about their partner
1. What perfume they wear
2. Clothes size
3. Eye colour
