Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Plessey Road, Blyth in Northumberland.
The incident happened outside the Newsham Hotel on Saturday, November 19 at 7.30pm. A 36-year-old man was found with two puncture wounds, as a result of being stabbed.
He was taken to Wansbeck General Hospital where he received treatment, his injuries are not life threatening.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at this time and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to contact officers.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently helping police with their enquiries.
