Appeal after boy suffers head injuries

Police are appealing for information after a 15-year-old Sunderland boy suffered serious head injuries.
At 3:10pm on Sunday, July 1, police received a report that a 15-year-old boy had been admitted into the RVI hospital with serious head injuries
Enquiries are ongoing into how he sustained his injuries and police are appealing for anyone who may have any information to contact them.
They are particularly keen to speak to anyone in the Eden Vale area of Sunderland who may have seen anything suspicious on Friday night.
Neighbourhood Inspector Jamie Southwell said: “The boy is currently in a stable condition in hospital and officers are speaking to him to try and find out how he came about his injuries. I’d ask anyone with any information to come forward and speak to us.”
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and anyone with any information is asked to contact police in Sunderland on 101 ext 69191.
