Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault at a pub in Wideopen.
The incident happened at The Traveller's Rest Pub, Great North Road in Wideopen at 6pm on Sunday, September 25.
A customer in the pub was removed from the premises by a member of staff. This resulted in a 40-year-old man being assaulted. Police were called and a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault. The injured man was taken to hospital suffering facial injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the pub, or nearby, and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
