At around 1am on Friday, September 30 police in Gateshead received a report of an attempted car theft in the Shotley Gardens area.
Officers responded and arrested three men aged 31, 22 and 19 in connection with the incident.
As of Friday, September 30 they were held in custody helping police with their enquiries.
