AW10 sees the launch of the first M&S Limited Collection for boys, and the re-launch of Limited Collection for girls, with a campaign shot by iconic fashion photographer, Rankin. Working closely with Rankin, M&S has cast the next generation of young and uniquely talented kids to model this trend-led, street influenced collection. The boy stars include free-runner, Zachary Middleton, age 12, who started gymnastics at the age of six and has recently been cast as a lead role in a children’s drama series, and comedian, Bertie Gilbert, age 13 whose first television performance was with David Tennant in the Friday Night Project and who makes live action films with his friends in his spare time as well as animated Lego films! Girl stars include Caroline Lieroz, age 13 who is a singer-songwriter and has already had a number four hit in Brazil and Carly Beaver, 13, a street dancer, who has performed in the hit musical Billy Elliott and also performs with an award winning dance squad. This is the first time M&S has worked with Rankin on a stand alone kidswear campaign. Karl Doyle, M&S Director of Kidswear said, “We were really excited to work with Rankin on this iconic kidswear campaign. Fashion for kids is a growing market, and due to the success of Limited Collection in womenswear and the increased interest that boys have in fashion, we wanted to bring catwalk and street attitude to our kidswear range. The collection has an extensive choice of styles designed to be mixed and matched to each girls’ or boys’ individual style”. Aimed at kids between 6-16, the M&S Kids Limited Collection brings the must-have trends and catwalk looks to the young and fashion savvy. Inspired by the latest catwalk looks, the designers interpret these key trends to produce a fashionable, wearable collections for kids, with the quality and value of M&S.

Limited Collection for girls storms into AW10 with the first collection, Festival Army, inspired by the catwalk and festival looks. With khaki at its core, the collection is off set with soft rose tones, grey and acid yellow. Key styles include rose print tops, Western-inspired shorts, military jackets, net tutus, leggings and layered tees. Ideal for the autumn months, the collection offers the perfect capsule wardrobe for parties, festivals & hanging out with friends. Limited for boys launches its debut collection with London calling, a music inspired story inspired by icons of 80s The Clash to current rock heroes, The Kings of Leon. With a sharp focus on streetwear, skinny black jeans and great washed denims are casually styled with must have leather look jackets for the ultimate in rock-cool. Check shirts and stripe tees work with super cool graphic items in shades of black turquoise and acid yellow - think all things rock!
