Police are appealing for witnesses after a bakery store in Sunderland was broken into.
At 7.20am this morning police received a report Greggs Bakery store in Newbottle Street, Houghton had been broken into overnight.
Nothing was stolen during the burglary.
Neighbourhood Inspector Graham Finlay, who covers Houghton, said: "The burglary happened sometime after the store closed last night and early this morning and I'd urge anyone who may have seen anyone in the area overnight or may know who is responsible to contact police."
