Police are appealing for witnesses following a theft where lightning conductor strips were stolen in North Tyneside.
The incident happened at Newcastle Business Village, Bellington Drive in Benton. It took place over the weekend between 9pm on Friday, September 16, and 7am on Monday, September 19.
Thieves entered the business compound and stole a dozen copper lightning conductor strips which were attached to the outside walls of buildings.
Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, or anyone who is offered these items for sale is asked to contact police.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 03456 043 043 ext 69191 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
