Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident in which a car was damaged in South Tyneside.
The incident happened in Coleridge Avenue, South Shields overnight and discovered on Thursday, December 1, the car was scratched on the back quarter of the bodywork causing damage.
Anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
Police are making enquiries in the area and any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 03456 043 043 ext 69191 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
