Northumbria Police and the Serious and Organised Crime Agency siezed a million pounds worth of drugs as part of a joint operation in Sunderland.
Officers attended a salvage yard in Freezemoor Road on Monday, February 25 where a number of vehicles were seized.
A total of six people were arrested. Four have been released with no further action while a man and woman remained in custody. The man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s remained in custody for possession of controlled drugs and money laundering offences.
As a result of a search at this premises and another address, a quantity of controlled drugs have been seized with an approximate street value of one million pounds.
DCI John Lingwood, Sunderland, said: "This enquiry is in its early stages and there is considerably more work to be done. Northumbria Police will continue to cooperate with SOCA as this enquiry continues."
A 44-year old man has been charged with two counts of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.
