Police are appealing for information following an attack on a man in Ashington which has left him with a fractured skull.
At around 10pm on Friday May 29 two men entered the property in Castle Terrace and assaulted the 21 year old occupant.
The victim was taken to Newcastle General hospital and treated for his injuries. He is now in a stable condition.
Anyone with any information on the attack or who may have witnessed two men in the street looking suspicious around the time of the incident is asked to contact Ashington CID on 03456 043 043 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
