Witnesses sought after attack

Witnesses are being sought after a husband and wife were injured in an assault outside a Newcastle club.
The incident happened outside Babylon 90, Newgate Street at around 12.50am on Monday, May 31.
A 31-year-old man and a 32-year old woman both suffered head injuries in the attack and were taken to Newcastle General Hospital.
The man remains in hospital in a critical condition. His wife has now been released from hospital.
DCI Steve Binks who is leading the investigation said: "We are working to build a detailed picture of exactly what happened that night.
"It would appear that this was a totally unprovoked cowardly attack on a couple having a night out in Newcastle and we are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or saw the attack to get in touch.
"We know there were quite a lot of people in Newgate Street at the time particularly in the vicinity of Babylon 90 and the Rose and Crown on the other side of the street.
"There were also a number of vehicles driving along Newgate Street at the time and we would urge anyone in the vicinity at the time to get in touch."
Two men, aged 22 and 23 years have been arrested in connection with this incident.
Acting Chief Inspector Terry McNamara, Newcastle Area Command, added: "I'd like to reassure people that a team of detectives are doing everything they can to establish exactly what's happened and two men are currently in custody. We're aware incidents such as this cause distress and anyone who has any concerns should contact the Neighbourhood Policing Team."
