Leading rapper Eminem told CNN's Anderson Cooper on '60 Minutes' that as a father, dad and parent, he does not swear or use bad language at home in front of his children.

Eminem, known for his explicit lyrics and highly successful album sales globally, is one of the world's best known rappers.

He tells CNN's Cooper about his family life and says 'profanity in my house? No'. When asked about his work/ life balance and how he behaves in 'real life' he says 'I'm not saying there's not glimpses of me in the music, there's not truth in...things i say.'

He explains to interviewer Anderson Cooper that 'this is music, this is my art.' He adds 'I'm a parent. I have daughters. I mean how would i really sound as a person, walking around my house saying 'bitch pick this up' you know what i mean? I don't cuss.'

When asked about his lyrics influencing young people and whether he has any responsibility to curb them, he says 'I feel like it's your job to parent them. If you're the parent, be a parent.'

Eminem also goes on to explain the thought process behind many of his songs, words and language used 'people say that the word orange doesn't rhyme with anything and that kind of pisses me off because I can think of alot of things that rhyme with orange.' He goes on to start rapping using the word 'orange' for interviewer Cooper.

Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, goes on to talk about his life when he was younger at school, bullying, how he became a rapper in a predominantly non-white industry and drug addiction.

The interview is scheduled to be broadcast by CBS on Sunday 10th Oct 7pm EST.
