Man robbed in Jarrow.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in Jarrow. The attack took place between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday March 12, at the junction of High Street and Monkton Terrace, near Morrisons in Jarrow. A 35-year-old man was attacked by several men, who pushed him over, kicked and punched him, and stole cash and valuables from him. The victim was taken to South Tyneside Hospital after the attack. The extent of his injuries are not yet known, but are not thought to be life threatening.
