A Sunderland restaurateur is facing his own kitchen nightmare after thieves stole his pots.
With two weddings and birthday party to cater for on August 1, Ahmed Bashar, owner of the Naz Restaurant in Sunderland, is hoping that police can recover 16 of his brass and copper pots stolen from the Pallion Industrial Estate on July 20.
The pots are worth several thousand pounds.
PC Nova Owens said: "Mr Bashar uses the pots for outside catering functions such as weddings.
"His business will be affected if they are not returned, he has two Asian weddings and a birthday party due to be catered for on August 1.
"The pots are the only ones of there kind in the Sunderland area."
