Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident in a park in Bensham, Gateshead
At around 7.30pm on Saturday August 1, three girls, one aged nine and the others 11, were playing in a wooded area of Windmill Hill park.
They were approached by a man who engaged the children in conversation and acted inappropriately.
None of the girls were injured.
The man is described as white, around 50 years old, with brown hair with flecks of grey. He was wearing blue jeans and glasses.
