Police are appealing for information after the theft of hens from the Blanchland area.
Between 5.30pm Saturday, February 12, and 8.15am Sunday, February 13, thieves stole hens and a hut from an allotment.
In total nine hens were stolen - six silver laced hens, two partridge windnuts and one blue laced hen.
The hens are valued at around £300 and the hut at around £300.
Anyone with any information into the theft is asked to contact police on 03456 043 043 ext 69191 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
