Police investigating a house fire in Newcastle are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
It was reported at 10.25pm on Monday, July 4 that a house was on fire at Bentinck Road in the city's west end. The house - which is currently vacant - was damaged in the fire.
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire and an investigation is now underway to establish the cause.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 03456 043 043 ext 69191, or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
