Police are appealing for witnesses after a mountain bike was stolen from a garage in Gateshead.
The Marin cycle, worth around £800, was taken between 10.15pm and 10.30pm on Tuesday, October 4 from a garage in Brockwell Close, Winlaton.
Officers are keen to trace three young men acting suspiciously in the area when the bike was taken. They are described as white, in their late teens/early 20s and of average height. They were wearing dark clothing and one had a woolly hat.
Neighbourhood Policing Team Insp John Walsh from Gateshead said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened or any dealer who is approached by anyone trying to sell the bike.
Anyone who has any information, saw anything suspicious or knows where the bike is being stored should contact Northumbria Police on 03456 043 043 ext 691 91 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
