Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman's handbag was stolen in Sunderland.
It happened at 7.40pm on Sunday, October 23, when the 51-year-old woman was approached by a man in an alley off Cromwell Street, near to Bornea Bistro in Sunderland City Centre. The man grabbed her handbag and ran off.
The woman was not injured by the incident, but left shaken.
