Police are investigating after building materials were damaged by a suspicious fire at a building site in North Tyneside.
Officers were called to the building site on West Farm Avenue in Longbenton after intruders deliberately set fire to a quantity of insulation packs, which scorched the materials, causing £300 worth of damage.
The incident happened between 6pm on Wednesday November 23, and 9am on Thursday, November 24. Intruders caused the damage and then left the site.
Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
