Police in Blyth are appealing for information after thieves caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to a local bandstand.
Between 6pm Tuesday, September 7, and 7am Friday, September 10, vandals climbed onto the roof of the public bandstand, which is situated on the grass area just of Links Road, near to Blyth beach, and attempted to steal metal from the roof.
They were unable to steal any metal from the 20ft high stand but in the process caused extensive damage to the roof and guttering.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information into the damage to contact them on 03456 043 043 ext 69191 or through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
