Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Sunderland.
It happened at 12.30pm on Thursday, December 2, when a man has broken into a property in Lindsay Close and confronted the occupant before stealing money from the address.
He is described as being in his 20s or 30s, six feet tall, slim to medium build, dressed all in black.
The occupant, a man in his 70s, was shaken by the incident and suffered minor injuries.
Officers investigating the burglary are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone suspicious in the area at the time.
Acting Neighbourhood Inspector Lee Butler, who covers the area, said: "I'd urge anyone with any information about who is responsible, or may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at that time to contact police."
