Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a racial offence.
It happened when a group of youths at South Shields Metro Station shouted racist comments, upsetting to other passengers.
The incident happened on Sunday, March 20 at 7.35pm when the group got on a Metro.
Anyone with information or who knows the man pictured is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 03456 043 043 ext 691 91 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
