Police are treating a fire at New York & Murton Social Club in North Tyneside as arson.
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service reported the fire to police at 4.30am this morning (Sunday, June 12). No-one was injured in the fire which caused damage to the furnishings inside the club.
Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything or know how is responsible.
