Traffic Management: Work commences with a full overnight closure southbound on the night of Monday, 18 July with a diversion via the A50 and A46, with lane closures and a speed restriction northbound. Thereafter work will take place both north and southbound with a 50mph speed limit, and various lane closures as required. Ongoing – A46 Newark to Widmerpool, widening the carriageway, Stragglethorpe junctionStart Date: June 2010 End Date: October 2011Times: 24/7Traffic Management: Traffic is diverted via the new northbound entry and exit slip roads, and via the new western roundabout as appropriate. All traffic management is signed for road users. Owthorpe junction to Stragglethorpe junction traffic is being diverted off the old A46 onto a new section of carriageway. Access into Cotgrave is not possible via Colston Gate. This change allows work to the new bridge and side road to progress. On completion of the work direct access to the A46 will not be possible.New – A46 Newark to Widmerpool, ElstonStart Date: Sunday, 31 July End Date: Late AugustTimes: 24/7Traffic Management:Lodge Lane will be closed in order to connect new and existing road surfaces. Traffic will be diverted via Flintham and Shelton. Lodge Lane will only be closed once a connection from Flintham on to the A46 is available. Works will be carried out on 30 / 31 July to complete this connection from Flintham on to the A46. Works are subject to change, weather permitting. New – A46 Newark to Widmerpool, ElstonStart Date: Tuesday, 2 August End Date: Mid-AugustTimes: 24/7Traffic Management:Hawton Lane will be closed for a period of up to two weeks to complete the connection at the eastern end. Access to Thorpe village will be available at all times. All other traffic will be diverted via Newark. Diversions will be clearly signposted.ENDS
