Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a house in Wallsend.
The incident happened at the Rising Sun Cottages, in Wallsend on Sunday, November 27, between midnight and 8.30am.
Thieves entered the porch via an unlocked patio door and stole two BMX bikes, branded, 'We the people', valued at £929. One is black and the other black and orange.
Detective Inspector Neil Brotherton said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have seen people steal these bikes or anyone who is offered them for sale to contact police. We also want to remind residents to keep their doors locked, to prevent opportunist thefts."
Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 03456 043 043 ext 69191 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
