In this instance, we feel that a complete road closure is vital if we are to carry out this essential work safely, as well as enabling us to get it done as quickly as possible."“Due to the road closures and associated diversion routes, drivers should plan their journeys and allow extra time to reach their destinations.”Traffic will be diverted as follows:Motorway traffic wanting to travel between the M1 at J24 and Clifton will be diverted north to J25 and along the A52 to Clifton Bridge, or vice versa.Northbound non motorway traffic will be diverted from M1 J24 westbound along the A50 to the A6, the A5111 Raynesway, near Derby, then onto the A52 eastbound to Clifton Bridge near Nottingham.
