A drug dealer has been jailed for eight years following a Northumbria Police investigation.
Stephen Sinclair, 44, of McKendrick Villas, Newcastle, was arrested on March 10 this year on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.
And when officers searched his house and a second property they discovered three kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of £250,000.
During the search officers also seized a computer and following a forensic analysis Sinclair was charged with possession of extreme pornography.
At Newcastle Crown Court on Friday he was jailed for seven and a half years for drugs offences and six months for possession of extreme pornography.
DCI Jim Hetherington of Newcastle Area Command added: "The supply of illegal drugs is a menace to our communities that we are determined to tackle whenever it occurs.
"Information from the public is a valuable tool for police and we would urge people to be alert and report suspicious activity to their neighbourhood policing team on 03456 043 043 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
Supt Peter Farrell said: "This was a significant seizure that has taken a large quantity of drugs off the streets and helped to make our communities safer.
"We are committed to tackling the supply of illegal drugs which can cause harm to those who use them, misery to drug users' families, and even lead to associated crimes."
