BLONDES V BRUNETTES
Brunettes are the most trustworthy, reliable and make the best wives - but blondes are better in bed, according to a new study of men.
While dark-haired beauties are most popular with men for having an intimate heart-to-heart with, running the home and being loyal, those with fair hair are considered more sensual between the sheets.
Guys also named women with blonde hair as more adventurous than anyone else in the bedroom.
Despite this, blokes considered brunettes to be sexier, better kissers and more affectionate.
Karen Moore, from Philips Sensual Massagers, said: ''Blondes have always had a reputation for being fun, carefree and adventurous and it seems that can also be applied to relationships, as men think they have the best skills when it comes to the bedroom.
''But brunettes seem to have every other aspect of a relationship sewn up, right down to the kissing.
''However, it's interesting that despite thinking blondes are better in bed, men actually see brunettes as being the more passionate.
''This research stands those with dark hair in good stead for a long-term relationship as they look likely to be the best at keeping their other half entertained and happy as well as managing a home and looking after children.''
The study of 1,500 men revealed that almost four out of ten think blondes are the best in bed, compared to just a third who said the same about brunettes.
And 36 per cent considered those with light hair to be most adventurous between the sheets, while just 31 per cent of guys think of brunettes in the same way.
But while guys might not think too highly of them in the bedroom, those with dark hair have the upper hand in every other part of a relationship with more than half saying they make the best girlfriend.
And 61 per cent would prefer to marry a brunette over women with any other hair colour.
Brunettes were also named the most popular choice to have a deep and meaningful conversation with (63%), followed by those with black hair (18%).
More than 60 per cent also think brunettes are the most trustworthy and loyal, compared to just 14 per cent of blondes.
Brunettes have even stolen the title of most fun from the blondes with 45 per cent of guys saying brunettes are the most entertaining in a relationship compared to 34 per cent who chose those with light hair.
And while 34 per cent of men like the blonde-haired glamour model look, 42 per cent said they actually find brunettes sexier.
More than half (51%) also think women with dark hair are better kissers, while 47 per cent think they are the most sensual.
The study also found that blokes see women with dark hair as more maternal, best at looking after the family finances and the best cooks.
Karen added: ''Whether you're blonde, brunette or a red-head, the key to a fulfilling sex life is intimacy and having fun together between the sheets.  We'd encourage couples to get intimate this Valentine's say regardless of their hair colour!".
