M5 Junction 8 (M5 / M50 Interchange) The southbound exit slip road of the M5 at junction 8 will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Thursday 24 March 2011 for carriageway resurfacing. The northbound exit slip road of the M5 at junction 8 and the eastbound carriageway of the M50 from junction 2 to the M5 junction will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Thursday 24 March 2011 to Saturday 26 March 2011 for resurfacing. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted. M6 Junction 2 (Ansty) to A46The link road from the M6 junction 2 island onto the A46 southbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Saturday 2 April 2011 for carriageway resurfacing and gantry works as part of the M6 junction 2 improvement works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted. The main carriageway from the M69 southbound onto the A46 will remain open.M6 Junction 4 (Coleshill) The western side of M6 junction 4 island, the northbound carriageway of the A446 approach to junction 4 and junction 4 northbound entry and southbound exit slip roads will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Thursday 24 March 2011 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M6 Junction 4 (Coleshill) The eastern side of M6 junction 4 island, the southbound carriageway of the A446 approach to junction 4 and junction 4 southbound entry and northbound exit slip roads will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Thursday 24 March 2011 to Monday 28 March 2011 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M6 Junction 7A (M42 / M6 Interchange) The link road from the M42 northbound carriageway to the M6 southbound carriageway at junction 7A will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 5.30am from Wednesday 23 March 2011 to Thursday 24 March 2011 for repairs to the overhead signs / signals as part of the Birmingham Box Managed Motorways scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M6 Junction 8 (M6 / M5 Interchange Ray Hall) The link road from the M6 northbound carriageway to the M5 southbound carriageway at junction 8, will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Saturday 26 March 2011 for bridge joint repairs. This will also include the northbound entry slip road of the M6 at junction 7. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M6 Junction 14 (Stafford North) The southbound entry slip road of the M6 at junction 14 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Friday 25 March 2011 to Wednesday 6 April 2011 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M6 Junction 15 (Stoke-On-Trent) to Junction 16 (Crewe) The northbound carriageway of the M6 between junction 15 and junction 16 (including junction 15 entry slip road) will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Saturday 26 March 2011 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M42 Junction 3A (M42 / M40 Interchange) to Junction 4 (Shirley) The northbound carriageway of the M42 between junction 3a and junction 4 (including junction 3A link roads from M40 north & M42 east) will be closed overnight from 11.00pm to 5.30am from Friday 25 March 2011 to Saturday 26 March 2011 and again from 10.00pm to 7.15am from Saturday 26 March 2011 to Sunday 27 March 2011 for carriageway repairs and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M42 Junction 8 (M42 / M6 Interchange) The link road from the M42 southbound carriageway to the M6 northbound carriageway at junction 8 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 5.30am from Thursday 24 March 2011 to Friday 25 March 2011 for repairs to the overhead signs / signals as part of the Birmingham Box Managed Motorways scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted. Please note that these works are subject to change at short notice.M42 Junction 10 (Tamworth) to Junction 9 (Curdworth) The southbound carriageway of the M42 between junction 10 and junction 9 (including junction 10 southbound entry slip road) will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Wednesday 23 March 2011 for carriageway repairs, drainage and safety fence improvements. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M42 Junction 10 (Tamworth) to Junction 9 (Curdworth) The southbound carriageway of the M42 between junction 10 and junction 9 (including junction 10 southbound entry slip road) will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Friday 25 March 2011 to Saturday 26 March 2011 for carriageway repairs, drainage and safety fence improvements (part of SRW 1153673 – Major works). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M42 Junction 11 (Appleby Magna) to Junction 9 (Curdworth) The southbound carriageway of the M42 between junction 11 and junction 9 (including entry slip roads) will be closed from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Wednesday 23 March 2011 to Thursday 24 March 2011 for the removal of traffic management and the installation of new road markings. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M50 Junction 2 (Bromsberrow Heath) The westbound exit slip road of the M50 at junction 2 will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Saturday 26 March 2011 for embankment stabilisation works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M54 Junction 6 (Hadley) to Junction 7 (Wellington)The eastbound and westbound carriageways of the M54 between junction 6 and junction 7 will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Friday 1 April 2011 for installation of traffic sensors, carriageway resurfacing and associated works. This will not be at the same time as the below closure. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.M54 Junction 6 (Hadley) The westbound exit slip road of the M54 at junction 6 will be closed overnight form 9.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Tuesday 22 March 2011 for kerb stone renewal works. This will not be at the same time as the above closure. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.A45 (M42 Junction 6 – N.E.C. / Birmingham Airport) The entry slip road onto the A45 westbound from Stonebridge Island will be closed overnight from 9.30pm to 5.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Tuesday 22 March 2011 for bridge joint repairs. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.A49 Hereford The A49 Victoria Street junction with Eign Street in Hereford will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Sunday 10 April 2011 for safety fencing upgrades to the central reservation. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.A49 Much Birch The A49 at Much Birch will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Thursday 21 April 2011 for renewal of signs, road markings, road studs and carriageway surfacing. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.A49 Hereford to Kings Thorn The A49 between Hereford and Kings Thorn will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 21 March 2011 to Thursday 21 April 2011 for sign renewal, carriageway resurfacing and associated works.
