Police in Sunderland seized cocaine with an estimated street value of up to £12,000 after executing a search warrant.
Officers recovered between eight and ten ounces of the drug when they raided a property in Farringdon, Sunderland, last week, after acting on community intelligence.
They also seized a quantity of cash.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Graham Campbell said: "This raid resulted in a significant recovery of class A drugs which will not get onto our streets and has disrupted the activities of the suppliers.
"This is an excellent result, both for ourselves and for the local community. The Neighbourhood Policing team responded swiftly to the concerns of local residents.
"We are committed to these type of operations and they will continue as long as people try to profit from dealing drugs."
