This autumn the residents of Albert Square are in for a shock when tearaway Mandy Salter, played by Nicola Stapleton, returns to EastEnders.

Last time viewers saw Mandy she was a troublesome teen who fled Walford not long after her boyfriend, Aidan (Sean Maguire), returned to Ireland.

Mandy has grown up a bit since then but she's still fun, chaotic and wild, with a spiteful streak. Mandy is a manipulative force of nature so it's more than likely she'll be causing trouble for at least one of Walford's well-known residents...

Nicola Stapleton says: "I'm looking forward to playing Mandy again, it will be interesting to see what she's been up to all this time. I'm excited to be coming back and working with some old friends."
