Police are continuing to appeal for information about a fatal crash which happened almost a week ago.
It happened at 8.20pm on Tuesday, July 19, when a Toyota Corolla was travelling south on Mile Road in Widdrington, Northumberland, when, for reasons yet to be established, it has left the road and collided with a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, now identified as 34-year-old Charlotte Grant, from Widdrington, was taken to Wansbeck Hospital where she later died.
Following the crash the road was closed for around three and a half hours to allow for investigation. Enquiries are still ongoing into the incident.
Sgt Ray Dobison, Northumbria Police Motor Patrols, said: "It's now been a week since this crash took place and we are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone who has information about what happened to come forward."
Motor Patrols officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them on 03456 043 043 ext 69191.
