NEW SCHEMESM65 Junction 3 - 4, Blackburn with DarwenResurfacing and bridge work will begin between junctions 3 and 4 of the M65 on Monday 5 March. Work is expected to take place over two nights between 10.00pm and 5.00am with possible work on subsequent nights up until Saturday 17 March to allow work to be completed. During these times there will be a 50mph speed limit on both east and westbound carriageways and hardshoulder running.M6 Junction 34 sliproadsThere will be night time lane closures with switching in both directions for LED lighting upgrades from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Friday 9 March until Sunday 11 March.ONGOING SCHEMES M6 Junctions 33 – 34, LancasterThere will be a 24 hour single lane closure and overnight closures of lanes 1 and 2 between junctions 33 and 34 of the M6 until Wednesday 4 April while bridge works are underway. Night time closures will be in place on the southbound carriageway from 8.00pm until 6.00am. A66 Newlands BeckThere will be 24 hour traffic signals in place between Monday 27 February and Sunday 11 March while improvement works take place.A585 Norcross JunctionWork to improve safety along the A585 at Thornton Cleveleys is expected to continue until Sunday 25 March. The scheme includes resurfacing and lane marking improvements around the Norcross roundabout and on approaches from the A585. All lanes will remain open at peak times, and during off peak, overnight and weekend periods there will be single lane closures, narrowed lanes and the use of temporary traffic lights. M6 Garstang to CarlisleThere will be overnight lane and hard shoulder closures along the M6 from Garstang in Lancashire to Carlisle in Cumbria until Saturday 3 March while routine bridge inspections are carried out. The work is taking place at Barton Old Hall, Anyone Lane, Lawtland House, Whitingham Lane, Catterlen Interchange and Monks Lane bridges. Traffic management will be in place for two nights only at each bridge between 9.00pm and 6.00am, and will run for approximately half a mile. M62 Junctions 9 – 11 and M6 Junction 21aA project is underway to improve drainage, lighting, barriers and surfacing on the M62 from Junctions 9 to 11, and on the M6 at Junction 21a. The work is being carried out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a 50mph speed limit in place. There will be some total closures overnight, during which times fully sign posted diversion routes will be in place. The scheme is scheduled for completion in April 2012. M53 Junction 1, Bidston MossThere are various lane closures in both directions at Bidston Moss Viaduct for bridge repairs. Work continues until the end of March 2012. A590 RedsykeThere will be daytime traffic signals in place for United Utilities works from 9.30 am until 3.30pm until Friday 9 March.
