Sainsbury's signs identical quads

Sainsbury

19 August 2011

Sainsbury's has signed the UK's only identical quadruplets to model and test their school uniform ranges.
Ellie, Georgie, Holly and Jessica Carles, who are entering their
second year at primary school in a couple of weeks, have been
tasked with putting uniforms through their paces for the
retailer.
The five-year-olds started rigorous playground testing before
the school holidays and have also been wearing the uniforms during
the summer.  The girls, alongside their mum Julie Carles, will
continue to provide feedback to Sainsbury's throughout the
forthcoming academic year.
Julie, 42, said: "Last year I had to mark
initials on their collars to help teachers, this year they've
developed their own style and have selected different products to
test, which should give their teachers a head start.
"So far, every item has surpassed my expectations, standing up
to constant washing and ironing. You wouldn't believe the
amount of ordinary clothes they get through, I now have peace of
mind their uniforms will stand the test of time."
John Carolan, Sainsbury's Head of Childrenswear
said: "We're delighted to have Ellie, Georgie, Holly and
Jessica on board, our truly unique uniform testers, and look
forward to four sets of opinions over the coming months.
"Whether you need to buy four uniforms or one, with prices from
£2.00, we guarantee great value products that don't compromise on
quality."
All clothes in Sainsbury's 'Back TU School' range are machine
washable with features such as adjustable waists and longer length
trousers for growing kids. Most trousers and skirts come with
Advanced Teflon finishes to keep them smarter for longer, as spills
can be easily wiped away. The Advance Teflon treatment also
means stains are removed at lower wash temperatures, as well as
being quick drying and easier to iron.
Ellie, Georgie, Holly and Jessica Carles, were born on 23 March
2006 to Julie and husband Jose, 38. They arrived against odds
of 64 million to one and are only the world's 27th set of conceived
identical quads. The Carleses live in Biggleswade,
Bedforshire.
